About Me
I was born and brought up in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire and am very community minded. From a young age I have always valued the tradition and ritual that comes with ceremony and it is my personal experience of all types of ceremony that has led me to dedicate my life to this work.
I was fortunate enough to train as a celebrant with the inspirational Gail Dyson, managing Director of Elizabeth Way Family Funeral Services in Mossley, Lancashire. I gained what I believe to be as some of the most in-depth training a celebrant could attain.
I am passionate about this work and feel strongly that ceremonies were never intended to be 'one fits all'. There is room for creativity and individuality to sit next to tradition and ritual and it is my role as a celebrant to give people choice, whilst working with the upmost sensitivity, compassion and professionalism.
Caroline Doughty holds the
Elizabeth Way Diploma in Celebrancy
and is a trained Soul Midwife.
